I think we should see a fairly decent number of Kerry fans traveling the well worn route to Croker for a big Championship clash. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 16/07/2019 14:15:18 2211884 Link 5 |
I think you will get a lot of neutrals attending Sunday...I am looking forward to a great weekend of football 2 games sat and heading in on Sunday to what I think is going to be 2 cracking games. Meath will certainly give Mayo there fill of it and Kerry / Donegal has the potential to be the game of season so far

IM shaking in my boots reading about Donegal how good they wfkerry (USA) - Posts: 933 - 16/07/2019 14:45:38 2211893 Link 2 |
Keane and his selectors - Griffin & ,,,I can't remember the name of the other selector - did a great job at the weekend. And Keane could be a great manager for Kerry. That performance was exhilarating. But it's a whole new ball game next weekend. They'll have to halt a bit of a losing streak in Croke Park against formidable opposition. Donegal may have come out of Div 2 this year but they should have beaten ye in Killarney last year. Also, no matter how good the sideline the match will most definitely be won on the pitch. What is it the Notorious one says? Improvise, adapt, and overcome. As you say, we'll see who does that best next week. Hopefully it will be a great match.

There's nobody in donegal saying how good we are. We all know what a massive task that lies ahead on Sunday. Funny how two of the people talking donegal up are kerrymen. We had a lot of lean years so to playing Kerry in Croke Park is an honor. Kerry raging favorites but sure we'll turn up anyway and enjoy the day.

What poem is that from? Is that James Joyce?

No-one in Donegal is underestimating Kerry. Look - we know we have a decent team and have won back to back Ulsters. But the true measure of a team is beating the likes of Dublin, Kerry or Mayo in Croke Park at the business end of the Championship. We haven't managed this since 2014 so genuine, knowledgeable fans know the size of the task ahead.

If both teams do make ot through, would the dubs prefer Kerry or Donegal in the semis? I know ye are far ahead of everyone it seems atm so i guess doesnt it really matter.

Glad you got that out of your system.

Hey Mr wkerry. No one is saying Kerry have no chance. This is your own concocted B.Sh1t. Kerry are bookies favorites. End of. I give our lads a fighting chance. So would I say the same for Kerry, prob better than us. I know that this rhetoric is difficult for u to accept but it is the truth. Enjoy game. It will be a clean high scoring encounter hopefully. May best team win. Try that the next time u post it's not difficult. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 16/07/2019 16:04:48 2211935 Link 3 |
Would rather play Donegal, for the simple fact if we are to do the 5 in a row, what better way to do it than beating Kerry in the final. It always sweeter when we beat Kerry than any other county for me personally, as I'm sure Kerry fans would say the same about beating us. The two heavyweights of Gaelic Football, there's just something about a Dublin/Kerry fixture that gets the heart racing :D ConnollyDub (Dublin) - Posts: 2007 - 16/07/2019 16:38:17 2211952 Link 1 |
I hope you feel better now you have that out of your system. The team as are similar, better going forward than defending & I anticipate a good open game. Beyond that is anyone's guess MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 16/07/2019 16:39:24 2211953 Link 0 |
Well it was looking like ye would never beat us for a long period of years but now it looks like it may take us a while to get back to the top but we are showing some signs of improvement. Some people say we may have a better chance to catch Dublin in the semis but I would not buy into that notion. However, we will try to beat Donegal first as the super 8s is by no means over yet.

Going by the weekends performances Kerry will be buzzing and ready to beat all comers, eyes on the Dubs for them now, not sure were we are at, if we get a good start we could run Kerry close but the bookies probably have it called right. To be fair if Donegal had turned up at all in the 2014 final you guys would be going on 10 years without an All-Ireland.

This should be a great game two very good sets of forwards with confidence high. I hope that with both teams having a win under their belt the shackles might be off with both going for it. reithi (Kerry) - Posts: 52 - 16/07/2019 17:45:26 2211981 Link 0 |
A trip to Navan might be enticing IF Donegal and Meath win this Weekend!

And the Dubs could be going for 7 in a row too. Who knows?

Typical. Looks like Kerry have a shout now again of an All Ireland and the big mouths start telling anyone who will listen about how they'll do this and they'll do that. You're all wind and pi** like the barbers cat.
