It will be interesting to see how Donegal approach this game. Will they continue to play an expansive hamper revert to a defensive system when faced against the Dubs? Likelihood is that Donegal will need to win this to avoid Kerry in a semi final if they go through but if you're looking that far down the line you also wonder would Bonner want to show his hand before a potential All Ireland final rematch? These are things Dublin wouldn't be too concerned about they will play their football regardless. Not sure just how good Donegal are yet I'm guessing somewhere between 3rd and 7th best in the pecking order along with Mayo Galway Tyrone and Monaghan. Honest to God, we couldn't be up to ye. Not alone have ye got the biggest population. all the money, home advantage even for neutral games, now shameless Dubs are making doe eyes at Paddy after trying to eat him alive in Ballybofey a few years ago. It should be a cracker. I've been really impressed by our fluid structure this year. The numbers on jerseys mean nothing really. A huge amount of rotation goes on and yesterday we saw the likes of Eoghan Ban and Paddy McGrath in advanced positions regularly. It's very similar to how Dublin operate really. I think they're an excellent team and this should be a good game but the farce of allowing Dublin play neutral games in their home stadium will probably swing it in their favour. In typical Irish fashion everyone just stands back and accepts this madness there should be a revolt no other sport in the world sees this carry on

God, I hope so! I'm back in Ireland that week, but fly back to the States on the 15th. Would LOVE to be able to make this match. Also, the World Cup Final is at 4:00pm on the Sunday (and I, idiotically, booked my flight back to the States so that I'll miss it) - I can't imagine the GAA and RTE want to put what would be their biggest ratings game of the round up against that?! Agree but not sure how many of Dublin's opponents in the group would live with them in Semple so bit of a moot point. But yes if the opposition is willing to lose out on a game v Dublin at Croke Park then Dublin's "neutral" game should be in Semple.

Neither have Dublin nor Kerry. This is the first year we ever got this far without being tested by a tough team.

The fixture list is definitely not in Donegal's favour with the last game being the home game. However given the age profile and stage of development this Donegal squad are at playing in Croker against Dublin will be a great test for them. Completely agree and I think most clued in supporters know despite winning Ulster the true tests are ahead. We had what we thought was a very good U-21 team last year who got their asses handed to them against Dublin in the semi final. Though I think most know it was not a fair playing field but the point being some of the current squad and some of the management team were involved that day which I think will ensure all in and around the squad won't be letting any hype get to them.
