Mark Doran is the latest name to be linked with the vacant Antrim senior football manager’s post.

BBC NI is reporting that the current Slaughtneil supremo is in the running along with former Louth, Westmeath and Wicklow manager Colin Kelly, St Brigid’s boss Anthony McGrath and Ulster University’s 2024 Sigerson Cup winning manager Barry Dillon.

Ex-Derry sharpshooter Paddy Bradley had been the favourite to replace the departed Andy McEntee before withdrawing from the race last week.

A native of Longstone, Doran was involved as a coach with Davy Burke in Roscommon this year, having previously held coaching roles with Down, Clare and Wicklow. He co-managed Ballybay to a Monaghan SFC title in 2022.

Interviews for the job were believed to have taken place last Monday evening.
