Ciaran Meenagh has been confirmed as Derry’s new senior football manager.
The Tyrone man first joined the Derry set-up in 2018, serving for five seasons as coach, and also went on to become the team’s interim manager two years ago following the departure of Rory Gallagher.
The past two seasons have saw him serving as a selector with Down under Conor Laverty and he now replaces Paddy Tally after the latter’s decision to step down as Derry boss following one season at the helm.
Meenagh’s backroom team is set to include former Oak Leaf captain and All-Star defender Chrissy McKaigue.
Delegates at last night’s meeting also ratified the re-appointment of U20 football (Damian McErlain), Minor football (Kieran Glackin), Senior hurling (Johnny McGarvey), U20 hurling (Ryan O’Neill) and Minor hurling (Danny McGrellis) management teams.
TweetFollowing tonight's meeting of Coiste Chontae Dhoire, Derry GAA has confirmed all management teams for 2026.
