Clare SHC final and Galway SHC semis postponed due to Storm Ashley

October 19, 2024

Status Orange wind and rainfall warnings are in place this weekend.

Tomorrow’s Clare senior hurling championship final and Galway senior hurling semi-finals have been called off as a result of anticipated poor weather conditions.

The Clare SHC decider between Feakle and Sixmilebridge had been scheduled for Cusack Park on Sunday at 2.30pm, but has now been provisionally fixed for the same Ennis venue on Bank Holiday Monday, October 28th.

Meanwhile, the Galway SHC semi-finals between St Thomas’ v Cappataggle, and Loughrea v Clarinbridge have also been postponed and have been refixed for next Saturday, 26 October at Kenny Park.

It comes after last night’s decision to postpone Sunday’s Mayo senior football championship final Ballina Stephenites and Knockmore due to the weather warning in effect.
