Donal O’Grady will be ratified as the new Limerick minor hurling manager at the next county board meeting.

The 2013 Munster SHC-winning captain, who replaces his former county team-mate Shane Dowling, has stepped down as a Limerick senior hurling selector to take up his new role. During his five years as a selector to John Kiely, the Treaty won four All-Ireland SHC titles and five Munster SHC crowns.

The Granagh-Ballingarry clubman will be assisted by Ger Kelleher, Tom Murphy, Brian Sexton, Jody Hannon and Liam Reale.

Meanwhile, the times for next Sunday’s Limerick SHC semi-finals have been confirmed. Patrickswell face championship favourites Doon in Kilmallock at 1pm. That will be followed at 4pm by the meeting of holders Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock at 4pm in Rathkeale.

The TUS Gaelic Grounds, which is currently out of action due to pitch repair works, will host the county final on Sunday, October 27.
