There will be some good players from last year still u20. Simon Roche, Darragh Kehoe, Eoin Whelan, Luke Murphy, Cillian Byrne, Cian O'Tuama, and Dylan Purcell I think.

Yeah there overage, think Darragh Farrell who came on in a few games last year is underage Luke Roche and Darby Purcell who figured in games earlier too, hopefully Paidi Doyle from the Annes will be involved who has got potential too.

Taught the u17s had a very good defence HB line particularly last year so some of them could be in contention this year, 1 or 2 of those starting backs are u17 this year again though. last year we had 3 prominent 18 year olds at u20 in Simon Roche, Sean Rowley, Dylan Purcell and Cillian Byrne.

It will be an interesting Leinster u20 championship I'd be guessing. Kilkenny will be strong, Galway won't be as bad as last year, Dublin have a good group, Offaly will be favourites for me, Westmeath will have most of their very good team from last year back, and Laois will see some of their minor team from 2 years ago that knocked ourselves and Kilkenny out of the Leinster minor championship coming through.

yeah should be very competitive indeed, seen that they've done the draw for that aswel as all the underage competitions along with provincial club for later in the year.

Thanks for the link. I see they have Tier 1 counties through whatever happens in their 2 group games again. Alot of experimenting in store again during the group stage.

Yeah groups of 3 in tier 1 where 1st place straight into the SF, 2nd QF and 3rd into preliminary QF. We've Kilkenny away and Laois at home, other group is Offaly, Dublin & Galway.

Draw was hard on Westmeath I feel, although the extra games possibly helped Offaly build momentum last year.

How come K8lkenny is away when we were away the last time we played them at u20?

I don't know, suppose last time we played Laois at u20 it was away too so it was going to happen either way.

Don't think we have a home and away arrangement with Laois. Tbh until last night I suspected we had just an away arrangement with them the last while!

Must say I'm really looking forward to Sunday.

The injury list is pretty long so we should see a fairly experimental side.

Looking forward to seeing the spine of it in particular.

I would expect Conor Foley, seamie Casey and Richie lawlor to really push on this year

Casey is apparently OK after last weekend thankfully. Think it was only a dead leg or something. Be interesting to see where Conor Foley plays Sunday. He was full back last weekend. Richie Lawlor has also looked sharp so far.

Is Seamie fit to play Sunday? Looking forward to seeing likes of Tucker Kinsella and Cian Byrne see action Sunday too

Happy new year to my adopted county supporters and best of luck for the year ahead. You lads are mad for matches and its only the 12th Jan! The enthusiasm for the game is second to none. Good luck to Rossiter and his troops for the year ahead. I always want Wexford to win bar against Dublin.

To me, this year Wexford's main target has to be to get about another 6-7 players up to the speed of the inter county game and not to be relying on a handful of players.

There needs to be about 5 players from that u20 team from last year putting their hand up. Their match v Offaly was on TG4 this week and I never saw it back but man were they unlucky. But now is the time to step up.

The players should be hurting after what went on last year and its time to see a new look Wexford team. That performance v Clare in the league last year was the worst I ever saw from a Wexford team but it and the result v Westmeath needs to be learned from and as a player, you have to use the hurt from last year to drive you this year.

Hands up, I don't see Wexford winning Leinster or making a final but I hope you will see new faces establish themselves as senior hurlers. The team of 2019 are nearly done now and I feel Wexford still look to Ryan, Chin, O'Hanlon, Reck, O'Keefe, Rory O'Connor when the chips are down. I think Wexford can win Leinster in about 2-3 years if everybody commits to it now.

But good luck for the year ahead. I'd love for Dublin hurling to have as vibrant a message board but can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
