Replying To Purpleandgold72:  "Must have been. He's hardly still injured…? And what exactly is the story with Molloy too…never any updates on his injury which he seems to be suffering with for almost the last 6 months now…"
He was in Portlaoise with the team, so there's no falling out and no benefit in speculating there is

The team named is probably the correct one except for the inclusion of mcguckin. I think Kevin Foley might have been a better choice. I know Kevin hasn't been in the best form but could come good on the big occasion. His experience and positional sense would be an asset to the team.
Surely Dee will play a role at some stage. He must be itching to get back on the team.
Apart from Kevin and Dee we have good options off the bench with Corey Byrne Dunbar and his namesake Cathal.
Hopefully the matchups work in our favour.
Clare will go at us with intensity and they will feed Reidy and o'donnell at every opportunity.
On the flip side we must avoid overplaying the ball in our half back line and full back line.
Give Rory Mac Chin and Byrne quick ball and if on song will get the scores.
Finding the net is vital and cutting down on our wide count will increase our chances of victory.

Replying To Viking66:  "David Fitzgerald has played wing downward every game for the last 2 years or more. Why do lads still, especially paid pundits, think he is playing midfield? Just because he's named there?"
Because the standard of punditry is poor

Mikie wont be involved with panel for rest of year due to injury sadly.

Yes. Reserves can be called in. Up to 4 I think but I'm not 100% sure on that number

Jack might be included yet. I imagine that team went in Tuesday or Wednesday.the feedback I was getting recently as well is that Ryan is OK to play

Wouldn't it be some lift if Ryan made it. I heard he was nearly OK to play last week. But in the media he's 100% ruled out. I hope he plays

That would be some lift. I suppose we may wait until tomorrow to find out but I thought an injured place would have to drop out of the panel for tomorrow for Jippo to start

Let's hope Shane Reck wears a groin guard this time.. if he's anywhere near Tony Kelly he'll need one

He a class player ball in hand but loose enough too. For a big man he doesn't win too many puckouts. Thought he roasted Donohue in the league game so I'm hoping we will try someone else tomorrow on him. Maybe Conor Foley. Little bit worried about our two young wing backs against Duggan and Fitzgerald but they have earned their chance.

Dwyer, Jacko, Ryan, Molloy all gone from the 26, who else has dropped out or back the list? It's still our strongest 26 on paper in years, DOK could give a great boost last 10-15 mins. Dunbar better off bench too when the space opens up.

Dwyer Molloy and even Jacko were not regulars on the team. Even when they were injury free.

Rossi has said consistently that Ryan is definitely out. Is he been tactical? I doubt it.
Ryan will be a huge loss but it's up to the rest of the backs to up their game significantly therefore minimising his absence.
Let's see how it works out.

If we don't cut down on our free count we won't be winning anything. Every match this year the scores against us from frees has been ridiculous. COME ON MANAGEMENT SORT THIS OUT NOW BEFORE 3PM

Exactly. Giving away soft scorable frees has dogged us for years. Surely we should tackle, block and hook, battle hard but fair making things difficult for the opposition to take shots by close marking.
It is infuriating to see our free count in the stats after games. It is most definately something that coaches and management should be working on, or is it the case that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Then again it's also said that you are never too old to learn.

Head on the block time. Regrettably I'm going for a Clare win. If Jippo was there I would have fancied our chances. I think they will put our backs under severe pressure and therefore out score us.
Verdict--- Clare to win by 5 points.
Please, please lads prove me very wrong.
