For me the new rules call for a young fast and fit full back line, id make wholesale changes here - need to blood the future now in div.2. Ryan Wylie was really poor last year and has looked off the pace ever since that infamous day in Derry. Rory Beggan Jason Irwin Louie Kelly Ronan Boyle Ryan McAnespie Kieran Duffy Conor McCarthy Gary Mohan Joel Wilson Ciaran McNulty Michael Bannigan Stephen O'Hanlon Stephen Mooney Andrew Woods Sean Jones Sean Jones, Andrew Woods and to a lesser extent Stephen O'Hanlon really needs to step up this year too - jack is on his home straight and there's no more Manzy heroics to bale us out. These lads are no young up and comers anymore and if they can't get it done then the manager should be looking past them to some of our U21's. A fairly quiet build up to el classico Saturday night. Perhaps weather and time of the year and poor marketing are maybe the reasons. Cavan really have got on top in this rivalry recently but they also had a poor year last year after some promise. Both teams in transition and safety in division 2 would be a good goal I would imagine for both managers. New rules makes it tricky to call, an already fragile monaghan defence is now more open but like wise cavan aren't great there either.
