It would appear not, the pace and energy they have in the team seems a cut above anything else in junior this year

Replying To GAAFAN1234512345:  "What's everyone's predictions for hurling final.

Clontibert vs Latton. This junior final is going be so tight. Dessie Mone is flying for clontibert scoring hatrick in last game. Owen duffy for latton has been man marker for Lattton so them two will have a titanic battle.

Truagh vs Blaney. This is the one we wanted. Its like Limerick vs Cork. Everyone in county will be watching this one. Ronan boyle leading Truagh to a final. Hopefully they don't bottle it like the footballers. Ronan playing half back so could pick up Blaney danger man Max McGinity. There wont be a cow milked for month if truagh beat the big dogs blaney.

I think Latton will win easily and then Truagh to overcome the might faughs."
Monaghan Hurling is too far north of the Shannon to care about ...

However am hearing reports that the mighty Jack Fox from Derrynoose(Armagh) has been transferred in to Castleblaney and is in flying form. Will Ronan Boyle mark him instead?

Raises questions that this Monaghan championship, is more less an Armagh championship with the carvilles lining out for Truagh as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Armagh hurling management at the game looking at potential prospects for their county set up

Drumhowan must be going for their 8th junior championship in the last 20 years… seriously question should be asked within the club….

am i too much of a cynic to want the "here we go" posters to stop?...i get it like but setting aside the fact its from another sport, its hardly a fresh and trendy phrase

anyway sorry maybe im just too old to be cool...i wonder when the new manager will be announced - i sympathise with gabriel etc etc and i agree with some posters that he's done monaghan football no favours with the pod etc etc...

having said all that - it seems like he was disposed of because there was a plan in place. if theres no plan i think we're totally goosed....also if the plan includes abiding exactly with what these couple of "older players" want then what message does that send out to a potentially disgruntled few (or majority) that disagrees with them

frankly now im panicking and at this moment in time id almost prefer to see the county board do a u-turn and tell the "small majority" of players to wind their neck in and know their place or else beg someone like pauric joyce to come in with no baggage or preconceptions or allegiances

'county board do a u-turn' I agree with this. County board need take ownership and appoint someone they want not what some players want.

Bring GB back to Monaghan.
GB to Monaghan wont get a HERE WE GO

I thought Jim Gavan was coming to Monaghan and as Gary Neville says 'Thats the banker, the one that cannot fail' but don't think Jim will come to us. Jim Gavan isn't far away from HERE WE GO to Galway

Pauric Joyce to Monaghan could happen. HERE WE GO (soon)

Think the problem is they know they are too strong for junior and then get to intermediate and think they are better than they are. Last year especially they were touted to give intermediate a rattle and only ended up winning one championship game. Very young team who will improve if they are able to learn from previous experiences. At least next year they will stay in intermediate as they are taking two teams up with them who they will beat easily enough

MallsBalls has made it clear that the Here we go comments are no longer acceptable. Please keep this language from another sport away for our native sport. Instead use "THERE WE LAND" as its more user friendly and compatible to our sport
