Best of luck to the South Galway men...St.Thomas' on Sunday! I'm expecting a good game with Thomas' to win by 3 or 4pts.

Hard to know. We don't usually put in strong performances against your lads. Maybe Salthill in 2019. That's the only championship one I can think of in the last good many years tbh. And the League game a couple years ago would be the only good League performance in a while. Portlaoise in a Walsh Cup final a few years ago.

By my reckoning it's an every other year thing.

We drew in the championship in 22.

Good first half in league and championship last year but collapsed in the second.

If we produce the work rate we had today it should be a good game.

While I expect a tough match from Wexford it has a lot to do with who will be lining out for both teams. I haven't followed who played for Wexford but Galway have done a great job of getting different lads some playing time. That's the value of all these matches this time of year.

This weather will suit Thomas' anyway. Should be able to use their physicality the same way they did against Ballygunner. I can't see them losing this one.

Yesterday we started with Damien reck centre back and Jack o Connor centre forward.

Outside of that there were no other regular championship starters.

Kilkenny were similar in fairness.

We'd have Liam Ryan, Simon Donohue, Conor devitt, Shane reck, oisin Foley, conal flood, Rory o Connor, Matthew o Hanlon, lee chin, dee o Keefe, Liam og McGovern, Conor McDonald, Mickie Dwyer all either injured or on extended breaks

Horrific conditions for a hurling match today, Kilkenny looking for the clean sweep of All Ireland Club hurling titles after already claiming the Junior and Intermediate titles respectively!
My heart, Head and Wallet is going for the mighty St.Thomas' men to win their 2nd All Ireland title with a bit to spare...possibly 3-4pts.

Congratulations St.Thomas' fantastic effort and achievement to win their 2nd All Ireland title!!
The red card worked in favour for St.Thomas' as the Kilkenny crowd didn't know how to handle their extra man outscored by 10pts v 7pts in the 2nd half!!
I was thinking would he take off Eanna Burke before he got sent off because nothing was going right for him until he scored those two fantastic late points!!

Well done St Thomas's and a score worthy to win any final. Hopefully Brigids make it a Connacht double next.

CONGRATULATIONS to St Thomas's on a hard fought Final. I knew it would be close and it surely was. Hard luck to OLG. I didn't see the disallowed goal and I'm sure we will be talking about it for a long time. Maybe the RED CARD balanced it out a bit. The weather didn't do either team any favors. David Burke MOTM amazing!!!

No we wont be talking about the goal that wasn't given for a long time. It was more than balanced out by the red card. That was a shocking decision...it was a yellow at most. And I say more than balanced out cos O'Loughlin Gaels should have had a man sent off in the first half for the deliberate head butt on David Burke. Thomas's upped their work rate after James Regan was sent off and OLG made poor use of the extra man so all in all the better team won on the day and St Thomas's are worthy champions and what a fantastic last point to win the game.

Great performance with 14and actually played better..olg lost way completely when having extra man..first half thought olg should have had at least one red but also toms player very lucky when throwing fella over barrier..havnt heard any mention of the goal not given, but I'm sure in the next few hours it'll be mentioned..how it was missed is beyond me but fair play to toms on playing away another team might have stopped..special mention to David Burke, absolutely outstanding..watched programme with him on RTÉ and the length he went to,to get back..thouroughly enjoyed that match and hopefully many more like it for 2024..
