Yeah, we won without him in the league but as we all know there is a big difference between league and championship. Look at Limerick early on, they were leadenfooted and lost a number of games , including to ourselves. Look at them now. Take waterford, winning the league but are now long gone. Wexford were flying in the league winning 5 on the bounce and then were as flat as a bottle of 7 up with the cap off for 24 hours against Waterford. Beaten by Dublin and were terrible against Westmeath . Although we are now back to our best, the real tests are still to come. Let's wait and see how we cope with Kerry first and if as expected we get over that hurdle we will surely have an almighty battle v Clare. No they probably don't by and large. They also don't understand that nearly all these hurlers from u7 upwards also play football to a comparable level, something that is unusual in most of the other top hurling counties.
