This is a huge if but if we beat Clare I don't think it's certain we would play Limerick . If Galway were to beat Cork they can't play Kilkenny so would play Limerick . If Cork and Wexford were to win the Quarter finals there could be a draw but I'm not 100% sure

Have a feeling nothing Hayes, Duggan and TK will be available for Clare . Don't know if there is any substance to the rumours

Have to agree Lee is not a natural striker of the ball but he's a great athleath and a great man to catch a ball and never gives up and if we meet Clare he will be our main man again.

Thats incorrect. If Wex win and Galway win we play KK. Not Limerick. There is no draw either way no matter what the results.

How come Clare only won by 3 last year then?

If both us and Galway get to the semis we will have to play Kilkenny. There won't be a draw

What happens if Wexford and cork progress to semis? Is there not a draw then?

If that happened Wex v Lim & Cork v KK. Its not rocket science.

I'd say Wexford and Cork is open draw as repeat provincial finals will be avoided, I couldn't see it going to repeat pairings from the provinces? StoreysTash (Wexford) - Posts: 1834 - 08/06/2022 14:47:26 2423363 Link 0 |
Said on newstalk last night no repeat pairings from the same provice if possible for semi finals so if we and cork win we have Limerick and cork have kk.

I thought it was always just no repeat provincial final pairings. I may have changed though I'm not sure

Not sure either. There might be a draw. All that was said in 2018 and 2019 was repeat pairings from the provincial finals are to be avoided. I've not heard anything different since.

Hopefully all 3 will be available if we play Clare. TK is a great man to watch. Hayes and Duggan playing might suit us better than their replacements.

All the pressure is on Wexford to beat Kerry well at the weekend, absolutely no pressure on Kerry to win at all and that in itself is dangerous territory especially down in Tralee. Past hurler (None) - Posts: 928 - 08/06/2022 15:57:51 2423405 Link 0 |
We will worry about that when we get there lads.

Natural striker or unnatural striker. If as you say Chin is not a natural striker does it really matter? He has proved unquestionably on the fields around the country that he is a mighty warrior. Possibly one of wexfords greatest. I know you will come back and rightly mention Doran or Rackard or Martin Quigley or many others who have played with distinction down the years. I personally don't see anything wrong with his stickwork. When on his game, which is nearly always, he can win high ball and strike from distance. They don't always go over the bar but his dedication his strength his solo runs his leadership qualities his overall positional sense Believe me any of the top teams would grab him if they could. Natural striker or unnatural striker, Lee Chin is worth his weight in gold. Samson55 (Wexford) - Posts: 103 - 08/06/2022 16:21:15 2423416 Link 1 |
You only have to look at the difference he made v Kilkenny compared to the previous matches without him. ExiledInWex (Dublin) - Posts: 1340 - 08/06/2022 16:51:07 2423425 Link 0 |
