
The penultimate round of the Adult Football League Division’s 1-5 is underway.
Thursday: Dunsany boosted their chances of Division 3 survival with two points to spare away to Donaghmore Ashbourne.
Saturday: Ratoath made it ten wins in a row in Division 1 with plenty to spare over Na Fianna. Gaeil Colmcille bounce back with a win over neighbours Wolfe Tones. Keegan Cup holders Summerhill move to share second spot. Moynalvey remain rooted to the bottom. Skryne eased their relegation troubles as Feis Cup winners Donaghmore Ashbourne drop into the bottom three.
A second defeat for Navan O’Mahony’s leave the Division 2 leaders just one point ahead of Simonstown and Oldcastle and two in front of Seneschalstown and Meath Hill. Walterstown boosted their chances of survival with seven to spare over Clann na nGael. St. Vincents are relegated.
Slane remain in pole position in Division 3 with their 8th win. St. Michaels move into second spot after their eight point victory over Kilbride. Castletown bounced back into contention with a big win and in the process relegated Ballivor.
Sunday: St. Brigids and Bective are already assured of a semi final spot in Division 4. Drumbaragh, Ratoath, Nobber, Ballinlough, and Dunboyne are in the chasing pack for the other two knockout positions.
Likewise in Division 5, leaders Gaeil Colmcille and second placed Kilmainhamwood are in the semi finals. Just two points separate 3rd to 9th spot. The standout tie in the race for those other two semi finals spots is the meeting of Moylagh and Carnaross.
