Legendary Clare forward Ger ‘Sparrow’ O’Loughin has reprised his role as manager of the Clarecastle hurlers.
The 1995 and ’97 All-Ireland SHC winner previously led the Magpies to Canon Hamilton Cup glory in 2005 before going on to win a three-in-a-row of Limerick SHC titles with Adare. He also managed the Clare senior hurlers in 2010 and ’11.
Clarecastle’s 91-year stay in the top flight of Clare hurling came to an end in 2023 and they failed to escape the IHC ranks last year. This year, they will compete in a new 10-team PIHC.
