Burren produced a stunning performance to end Kilcoo's remarkable reign in the Down SFC, winning a thrilling contest 4-16 to 1-20. Kilcoo had been chasing an eighth consecutive Down title and their 14th in 15 years, but their extraordinary run came to an end against their old rivals. Burren made the perfect start, with Ódhran Murdock converting two penalties inside the opening quarter. Kilcoo responded through an Anthony Morgan goal to take a one-point lead into half-time. The Magpies pushed further ahead after the restart, but Niall Toner's goal brought Burren level and set up a dramatic final quarter. Liam Kerr was influential for Burren as the sides traded scores, before Ryan Treanor produced the decisive moment late on. The son of club legend John 'Shorty' Treanor fired home Burren's fourth goal to secure a famous victory. Burren now face Clonduff in a mouth-watering derby final, after the Hilltown side defeated Carryduff 2-14 to 1-13.
