James Daly has been appointed as the new Donegal senior ladies football manager.
The Armagh native replaces John McNulty, who stepped down after only one season in charge recently. Daly has a wealth of experience in ladies football management, having previously taken charge of the Armagh, Longford, Cavan and Fermanagh county teams. He has also managed his native Dromintee and Clann Eireann among others at club level.
"Donegal LGFA County Executive is delighted to announce the appointment of James Daly as manager of the Donegal Senior Ladies Football Team," a county board statement read.
"James Daly of Armagh has been at the helm of many a ladies Gaelic team throughout the years, including his native Dromintee. James has a wealth of experience and in the past his teams have included the likes of Clann Eireann, Queens University, Longford, Cavan, Fermanagh, Armagh.
"The additional members of the Donegal senior management backroom team will be confirmed in due course.
"Donegal will begin their LIDL National Football League campaign with an away fixture versus Clare on Sunday 26th of January.
"Very best of luck to James and our ladies in the year ahead."
