The final game in Aughrim saw St Patrick's Senior Ladies take on Tinahely who were chasing their 6th title in 7 years. In a very tight match with excellent football played and the Pats defence in particular doing very well there were two points in it at Half time: Tinahely 0-07 St. Patricks 0-05. In the second half St Patricks started well and scored three pointe without reply to go ahead. An unfortunate deflection saw Tinahely score their first goal to go four points clear. The girls dug deep and battled back to be within a point in the last minutes. Lady luck deserted the Pats girls after a fine save from Jennifer Lyons rebounded into the path of the Tinahely midfielder who scored the decisive goal.. Unfortunately the goals were telling in the end but the girls left nothing on the pitch We are so proud of each and every one of the senior ladies team although we lost, be proud of the performance you put in, we are a young team and can only take positives from today's display. You never gave up we will be back next year stronger than ever!.
