Tipperary pick management teams

At a meeting of Tipperary County Board Executive on Tuesday, October 14th, the following selection teams for 2009 were recommended for ratification at the next Tipperary County Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st.
Senior Hurling - Liam Sheedy (Portroe - Manager), Eamon O'Shea (Kilruane MacDonaghs - Coach) and Michael Ryan (Upperchurch-Drombane)
The outgoing Senior Hurling management team were put in place for a two year term last autumn. The recommendation from the County Board Executive is to extend their term by a further year to include the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Intermediate Hurling - Connie Maher (Thurles Sarsfields - Manager), John Collins (Templederry Kenyons), Tom McCormack (St. Patricks) and Vinny Ryan (Eire Og Annacarty)
The two year term of the outgoing Intermediate Hurling management team expired in 2008. The recommendation from the County Board Executive is to extend their term by one year to include the 2009 season.
Under 21 Hurling - Declan Carr (Holycross-Ballycahill - Manager), Martin Gleeson (Gortnahoe-Glengoole), Ger Maguire (Lattin-Cullen), Noel Russell (Carrick Swan), Ken Hogan (Lorrha-Dorrha)
The outgoing Under 21 Hurling management team were put in place for a two year term last autumn. Eamon Kelly (Kildangan) has stepped down as a selector due to work commitments. The recommendation from the County Board Executive is to nominate Ken Hogan (Lorrha-Dorrha) as selector in place of Eamon Kelly along with the rest of the outgoing management team for the 2009 season.
Minor Hurling - Mark O'Leary (Kilruane MacDonaghs - Manager), Damien Young (Drom & Inch - Coach), Pat Buckley (Emly) and Kevin Shelly (Ballingarry)
The two year term of the outgoing Minor Hurling management team of Declan Ryan, Tommy Dunne, Liam Cahill and Michael Gleeson expired at the end of the 2008 season. The outgoing management team indicated they did not wish to seek another term. As a result, the recommendation from the County Board Executive is to nominate a new management team under the leadership of Mark O'Leary.
Senior Football - John Evans (Laune Rangers - Manager), John Cummins (Cahir) and Niall Kelly (Kildangan)
The outgoing Senior Football management team were put in place for a two year term last autumn which will extend in to the 2009 season.
Junior Football - Pete Savage (Ardfinnan - Manager), Seamus McCarthy (Galtee Rovers), Jim Healy (Loughmore-Castleiney), Tommy Twomey (Arravale Rovers) and Liam Gleeson (Eire Og Annacarty - Trainer).
The outgoing Junior Football management team were put in place for a two year term last spring which will extend in to the 2009 season.
Under 21 Football - John Evans (Laune Rangers - Manager), John Cummins (Cahir), Niall Kelly (Kildangan), Jonathan Cullen (Loughmore-Castleiney) and Pat Moroney (Aherlow)
The two year term of the outgoing Under 21 Football management team under the leadership of Peter Creedon (Manager) expired at the end of the 2008 season. The outgoing management team indicated they did not wish to seek another term. As a result, the recommendation from the County Board Executive is that the Senior Football management team of John Evans, John Cummins and Niall Kelly will also take charge of the Under 21 Football panel in addition to two Under 21 selectors - Jonathan Cullen and Pat Moroney.
Minor Football - to be confirmed
As outlined, all recommendations listed above are subject to ratification at the next Tipperary County Board meeting on Tuesday, October 21st.
