Sherlock quits Cork
March 30, 2007
Wayne Sherlock
Wayne Sherlock is understood to have withdrawn from the Cork hurling squad ahead of Sunday's crunch NHL meeting with Clare in Ennis.
The 2004 All-Star corner back is believed to have been unhappy at being left out of the team for last weekend's game against Wexford, and he has been overlooked once again for Sunday's showdown with the Banner County, which is a championship dress rehearsal.
Sherlock's withdrawal would indicate that all is not well in the Cork camp at the moment, following on from the defections of defender Killian Cronin and midfielder Mickey O'Connell last week.
