Tipperary hurlers have been boosted by the return to the squad of former All Star John Carroll ahead of their clash with Limerick.
Carroll had opted out of the panel at the beginning of the league citing other commitments but he took full part in a training session with the Tipperary squad on Wednesday night last.
According to reports the Roscrea man is in good shape and while it is not expected that he will start, his presence on the subs bench gives manager Ken Hogan greater options for his attacking force.
Carroll's last competitive game for the county was the defeat at the hands of Cork last July. It is expected that the Tipperary team management will name their side this evening (Friday).
