The Camogie Association have announced the AIB Camogie Club Championship Team of the Year.

Champions Athenry led the way with eight representatives on the 2025/2026 AIB All-Ireland Camogie Club Championship Team of the Year.

The Galway outfit needed a replay to secure the AIB All-Ireland Senior Club Championship title in January, with victory over St Finbarr’s of Cork at FBD Semple Stadium. The two sides could not be separated on the first time of asking, in a dramatic draw at Croke Park.

Laura Freeney, Dervla Higgins, Lisa Casserly, Olwen Rabbitte, Sinéad Feeney, Kerri O’Driscoll, Therese Donohue and Clodagh Burke are all included for the winners.

‘The Barrs’ enjoyed a stellar campaign, claiming a first ever Munster title en route to the final. Their exploits have been acknowledged with five places on this selection - Stephanie Punch, Aisling Egan, Keeva McCarthy, Sorcha McCartan and Orlaith Cahalane.

The Lee-side representatives needed extra-extra-time to overcome Antrim’s Loughgiel Shamrocks in the last four, and the Ulster champions are represented by Amy Boyle and Róisín McCormick.

Athenry have two nominees for the prestigious individual award, AIB Camogie Club Championship Player of the Year – Lisa Casserly and Therese Donohue.

The third nominee is St Finbarr’s and Cork star Sorcha McCartan, who hit an impressive six points in both finals against Athenry.
