Tipperary county board is expected to meet in the coming weeks to offer Liam Cahill a fresh term as the county’s senior hurling manager.

Cahill’s third season in charge of the Premier men saw him steering his native county to All-Ireland glory this past July as they upset at Cork at Croke Park.

A sizzling second-half from Tipp against their neighbours saw them winning out by 3-27 to 1-18 to get their hands on the Liam MacCarthy Cup, recording their county’s 29th All-Ireland SHC success in the process.

Now, Cahill, who was appointed to a three-year term in July 2022 after departing Waterford, is set to be offered a new term by the Tipp board ahead of the team’s 2026 campaign.
