Adare picked up their third consecutive win in the Limerick senior football championship on Saturday after seeing off Galtee Gaels on 0-16 to 0-10 in Kilmallock.

County ace Hugh Bourke struck 0-7 over the hour for last year’s beaten finalists whom are again on the cusp on a place in the competition’s knock-out stages.

The sides played out an even opening half that saw the scoreboard reading 0-6 apiece come the break, with Bob Childs having led the charge for the underdogs.

Adam Canny fired Adare ahead early in the restart, and while Brendan Chils levelled for Galtee once more, a hat-trick of points from Bourke would put his team in the driving-seat as they won out by half a dozen in the end.
