SFC: Holders open with comfortable win

Keegan Cup holders Ratoath got the defence of their title up and running with a comfortable win over a depleted Moynalvey side in perfect conditions at Skryne.

Cian O’Brien opened the scoring for the winners and three points apiece from Daithi McGowan and Bryan McMahon gave Kevin Reilly’s charges a 0-7 to 0-2 interval lead.

Moynalvey came more into the game in the second half but by the 10th minute they were 0-11 to 0-3 in arrears. David McLoughlin pointed five times before the games only goal arrived courtesy of Ben McGowan before refeee Joseph Curran blew the full time whistle.
