The Ulster Council has confirmed that next year’s Dr McKenna Cup competition will begin early next month.
The draw for the northern province’s pre-season competition will take place within the next week, with the first round of games to throw-in on the evening of Friday, January 7th.
It will be run off within a 15-day window, with the second round of games down for Tuesday, January 11th and the final group games on Saturday, January 15th.
The semi-finals are on January 18th and final itself is scheduled for just four days later on the 22nd, a week before the Allianz Football League campaign is set to get underway.
With no competition having taken place last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Tyrone will be entering as title holders having defeated Monaghan in the 2020 decider.
