David Clifford was typically modest in victory following his hat-trick heroics in Kerry's Allianz Football League opener against Galway yesterday.
The 22-year-old helped himself to a personal tally of 3-6 as the Kingdom romped to a 4-21 to 0-11 win at Austin Stack Park. His third goal came courtesy of a loose ball on the ground which saw him pull off a magnificent 'soccer style' dummy that left the Galway goakeeper and defender on their backsides.

"It’s hard to know, I played a bit of soccer in my younger days," he told eir Sport when asked about that sublime piece of skill.
"I was a centre half though so I don’t know where that came from but when they go in it’s always nice.
"I think we did [enjoy ourselves]. Things flowed well, we were moving fairly well up front. We were putting pressure on Galway coming out with the ball.
"It was enjoyable, it’s great to get back out there. It’s been a long five and half months."
