David Clifford outscored Galway on his own in the Allianz Football League at Austin Stack Park, hitting 3-6, 3-4 from play, as the Kingdom run riot against the hapless visitors.
The Fossa star produced a man-of-the-match display, including a moment of Premier League magic to complete his hat-trick in the 39th minute of his side's stunning 4-21 to 0-11 victory, selling a superb dummy to send two Galway defenders down the shops for an ice cream.
He was ably assisted by his brother Paudie Clifford, scorer of 1-2 on his first start, while first cousin, Paul O’Shea, came on for his senior debut and made the scoresheet.
