Roscommon forward Conor Cox has transferred from Listowel Emmets to Eire Og for the second time.

The former Kerry All-Ireland junior winner made his first move in December 2018 in order to be eligible for a call-up to the Roscommon senior football squad.

However, Cox had to play with Roscommon IFC hopefuls Eire Og in a championship game to become eligible to line out for the Rossies in the 2019 season.

With the Roscommon club championships not getting underway until the summer, he would not have been able to play for the Rossies until then so he transferred back to his home club Listowel Emmets.

The situation worked out well for Cox though as he enjoyed a debut season to remember with his father's home county as he helped them to the Connacht SFC title and was later nominated for an All-Star.
