It’s been a good week for the GAA in Belfast and Antrim. St Enda’s kicked things off with their brilliant All Ireland Intermediate semi-final victory and now the next stage of the Gaelfast project has seen 34 trainee teachers prepare to go into 16 schools.

‘It’s exciting times’, says Games Development Manager Anton McCaffrey. ‘We are all in new roles and this is a big opportunity for the students at St Mary’s University’.

The likes of Jack Hannigan, Megan McGarry and Stephen McConville spent a day being trained up for the 5 Star initiative which means they can now take coaching sessions in schools and promote Gaelic Games.
