Offaly were in cruise control this afternoon in as they saw off DIT with little fuss in Tullamore.

Eamonn Kelly's first game in charge of the Faithful County saw them score an emphatic 4-28 to 0-10 win over the Dublin students, having led by 13 at half-time.

At St Loman's, DCU would manage to put up a more solid effort against Westmeath, going down by a mere three points (2-20 to 2-17) to the men from the Lake County, whom got their first win of 2016 under Michael Ryan.

Meanwhile, Carlow were pushed to the pin of their collar by a plucky Meath outfit in Navan, where Barrowsiders' boss Pat English named four debutants in his starting 15.
