
Joe Canning is the only Portumna man named on the Galway senior All Stars Hurling Team of the Year.
County champions Sarsfields lead the way with five representatives, while brothers Fergal and Niall Healy are among the four players from runners-up Craughwell honoured. Canning, along with Aidan Ryan and Adrian Cullinane, are the only survivors from last year's team.
The intermediate Team of the Year contains two sets of brothers - the Mannions from Ahascragh-Fohenagh and the Flahertys from champions Abbeyknockmoy. The awards will be presented in McCarthy's, Kilbeacanty on Friday, January 16.
