St. Martin's are the first team through to the Wexford SFC final after they accounted for Castletown by 1-11 to 3-2 at Wexford Park yesterday.
The winners were forced to dig deep after Paidi Kelly received a straight red card at the start of the final quarter. They led by 0-6 to 1-1 at the break, with Jody Shaughnessy finding the net for Castletown, and extended their advantage when Jamie Carty goaled early in the second period.
But goals from county goalkeeper Anthony Masterson (penalty) and Shaughnessy for Castletown set up a tense finish.
A last-gasp Brian Doyle point earned Shelmaliers a 0-12 to 1-9 draw with St. James' in the other semi-final. The replay is expected to take place on Saturday.
