Kildare native Rachel Wyse is a familiar face to armchair sport fans - but what do we know about her Sky Sports GAA co-presenter Brian Carney?
Born in Cork, Carney grew up in Wicklow and was educated in Clongowes Wood College.
He played gaelic football for Valleymount GAA club, winning a Wicklow JFC medal in 1998, but it was in the oval ball game that he made a name for himself.
The 37-year-old began his professional rugby career with English League club Gateshead Thunder before moving to Super League side Wigan Warriors and he represented Great Britain in 2003 and 2004.
After a stint in Australia, he returned to his rugby union roots and signed for Munster.
The winger enjoyed a try-scoring international debut against Argentina in 2007 and was a member of the Irish Rugby World Cup squad the same year.
He currently fronts Sky's rugby league coverage.
