Armagh's Billy Joe Padden
New Armagh U21 football manager Stevie McDonnell is delighted to have Billy Joe McPadden in his backroom team.
Speaking to the Irish News, McDonnell claims the former Mayo and Armagh full forward has a lot to offer the set-up.
"I brought Billy Joe Padden on board because I think he's very knowledgeable when it comes to football," the 2002 All-Ireland winner said.
"In my last year of so with Armagh, I played with him and I got to know him. We seem to have the same ideas and philosophies around football and we have similar thoughts on how the game should be played.
"I also think he can be a calming influence on young players. He's a very relaxed lad and thinks about what he says. And when he does say things they usually make a lot of sense. He's an adopted Armagh man, but a good adopted Armagh man at that!"
