Kerry captain Paud Costello is set to miss the remainder of the NHL campaign.

Costello missed out on last Sunday's win over Kerry with a knee injury and the 24-year-old is set to be sidelined for at least another six weeks.

The Ballyduff club had keyhole surgery on Tuesday to see the full extent of the injury, which has been troubling him since last year.

Costello joins Ally O'Connor and Michael Conway on the long term injury list, with both these players expected to be back in time for the Christy Ring Cup opener. Tweet
