CLONMEL COMMERCIALS 1-9
THOMAS MacDONAGHS 0-5

Clonmel Commercials claimed their first Tipperary SFC title since 2002 when finishing with seven points to spare over Thomas MacDonaghs at Semple Stadium yesterday.

The sides went in level at the break following a low-scoring first half on 0-2 apiece but Commercials pulled away during the third quarter with Colman Kennedy scoring the game's only goal in the 41st minute.

2011 All-Ireland minor winner Kennedy was the star turn for Commercials, who collected a 15th Tipperary SFC title, and finished the contest with 1-2 to his credit.

Corner-forward Ian Barnes was his team's second top scorer with four points, two of which came from placed balls.

Commercials will now advance to a Munster Club SFC semi-final clash with Kerry champions Dr Crokes.
