Bealin takes charge of Parnells

Former Dublin star Paul Bealin
Paul Bealin is the new manager of top Dublin club Parnells.

The 1995 Dublin All-Ireland winning midfielder takes over from ex-Galway star Brian Talty, who resigned in the wake of Parnells' shock 0-12 to 2-10 Dublin SFC defeat to Templeogue Synge Street nearly a month ago. Bealin previously managed the Wexford and Carlow inter-county teams, and also had spells in charge of club sides Mullahoran (Cavan) and Graiguecullen, who he led to a Laois SFC final appearance last year.

Parnells have made headlines over the past couple of years for their new multi-million euro development in Coolock and for their recruitment policy which has seen them attract the likes of Mayo's Conor Mortimer, John Murtagh of Armagh and the Laois trio of MJ Tierney, Darren Rooney and Colm Begley to Dublin's northside.
