Dublin wing back Shane Durkin enjoyed the four-day training camp in Portugal.

The Dubs hurlers participated in the warm-weather training camp at Oceanico Amendoeira Sports Club and Durkin tells The Irish Sun it was just what the doctor ordered:

"The resort is unbelievable. It is a great insight into how professionals do things. It is the life of a pro: getting up in the morning and training, and training again in the afternoon.

"It is great. You get up in the morning and train, your breakfast is there for you. You get lunch and get back to sleep for a few hours.

"You get to spend time as a group and you are away from the pressures of everyday life. You are completely at ease, enjoying your hurling. The boss gets a clear run at training and can try a few things."

The Ballyboden St Enda's clubman believes Dublin are capable of beating Galway in their relegation play-off this weekend: "We feel if we do get a performance and get 100% out of everyone we will win most games."
