Gary Kavanagh in action for Laois
Laois veteran Gary Kavanagh has brought an end to his nine-year senior inter-county career with the O'Moore County.

The Stradbally club man was a vital cog in the Laois team that won the Leinster title in 2003, bridging a gap of 57 years. Kavanagh also won an All Ireland minor medal in 1997.

The 32-year-old made a return to the Laois fold under new manager Justin McNulty last year after a lengthy absence.

Kavanagh plans to continue playing with his club.
