The Kerry footballers will be able to concentrate exclusively on next month's All-Ireland SFC final following the decision to put the local county championships on hold.

The Kerry SFC is down to the last eight, but the four quarter-finals won't now take place until early October after the Kingdom qualified for their eighth All-Ireland final in 10 years last Sunday.

Dingle will face East Kerry in Austin Stack Park on October 2 with the remaining three quarter-finals between West Kerry and Kerins O'Rahilly's, Rathmore and Mid Kerry, and champions Dr Crokes and Austin Stacks taking place the following weekend.

West Kerry will play Kerins O'Rahilly's in Austin Stack Park on October 8, while Fitzgerald Stadium will host the other quarter-finals the following day.

The semi-finals of the Kerry SFC are down for decision on October 15 with no date yet set for the final. The Kingdom's representatives in the Munster club senior football championship do not face their opening assignment until November 6 when they meet the Waterford champions.
