Former Clare hurler Tony Carmody
Former All-Ireland club hurling champions Sixmilebridge have received a boost ahead of the 2011 campaign after ex-county star Tony Carmody transferred to the club from Inagh-Kilnamona.

Carmody, who retired from the Clare senior hurling panel and along with Tony Griffin has been criticised for doing so by former Banner manager Ger Loughnane seeked a transfer from his native club to the 'Bridge.

The talented forward has lived in Sixmilebridge for the past four years and the transfer was granted at a recent county board meeting after there were no objections from Inagh-Kilnamona.
