Caulry Peter Smyth
Co. League Div 2
Caulry entertained Shandonagh in a Co League Div 2 tie in the Park last Tuesday evening. Both sides won their fair share of possession in the opening quarter with scores evenly balanced. However a goal for Caulry by Nicky Killane late in the half put some daylight between the sides with Caulry going in at half-time leading on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-6 points.
On the resumption Caulry upped the ante with a great third quarter of fast moving football resulting in two well taken goals from David Brookes and Andy O'Sullivan and had the game sewn up going into the last ten minutes of the game. Shandonagh put three points on the board during this period but Caulry ran out convincing winners, and notched their third league victory in a row in this competition, on a scoreline of Caulry 3-16 Shandonagh 0-12.

U12 League: Caulry v GarryCastle
Caulry played host to Garrycastle in the Westmeath Under 12 league on Wednesday 16th May. Two excellent games ensued. On pitch 1 Garrycastle had a narrow 4-9 to 3-10 victory. Christian Stephens was superb in goal, while Colin Murphy gave an exhibition of defending ably supported by Dylan Lowry and Eoin Shortall, while Matthew Nally was a powerhouse in midfield and Thomas Dunning opportunist in attack. Over on pitch 2 the Garrycastle lads had no answer to the scoring power of Caulry where Ciarian Geoghegan and Rian Rasmussen had their best ever games for the club, scoring from all angles. Shane Cleary, Daniel Buckley,
Adam Donoghue, Jack Malone and Neil Clinton were also in top form. An impressive 1-22 to 2-5 scoreline gave Caulry a good aggregate victory. COMORTAS NA MBUN SCOIL FINAL
The flags and bunting are up and waving proudly in the breeze. Now the Mount Temple boys national school team will hope to keep them waving for another while
with victory over Tang in the Comortas Na Mbun Scoil Final. The match at GAA headquarters, Cusack Park Mullingar on this Thursday at 4.30pm is sure to be
another close and exciting affair. Previous meetings in recent times point to a classic where the lucky break could well be the deciding factor. We wish Liam Reilly and his young team the best of luck on the day and urge all parishioners and club members to come out and give your support.

Leinster Minor Championship
Well done to Caulry player Michael Mc Mahon who was a member of the Westmeath Minor squad that defeated Wicklow in a Leinster Minor Championship Quarter Final tie last Saturday. They now meet Meath in the Semi-finals.

Leinster Senior Championship
Hard luck to Caulry players Kevin Maguire and Ben Moran who were members of the Westmeath squad narrowly defeated by Louth in the Leinster Championship on Sunday last. Westmeath now head for the Qualifiers on June 30th.
