Warwickshire and Donegal will contest the Nicky Rackard Cup final at Croke Park in two weeks' time after they enjoyed comprehensive semi-final victories this afternoon.

Twelve months on from winning the Lory Meagher Cup, Warwickshire are heading back to Jones' Road following a 1-25 to 1-14 win over Tyrone in Dowdallshill. Niall McKenna was the scoring star for the Exiles who led by 1-8 to 0-8 at half-time after they goaled from a penalty rebound.

Sean Og Grogan netted for Mattie Lennon's Red Hands in the closing stages, but there was no stopping Warwickshire.

In the other semi-final at Owenbeg, Tipperary native Davin Flynn scored 2-11 as Donegal dispatched 14-man Monaghan on a 4-22 to 1-10 scoreline.

Flynn and Kevin Campbell raised early green flags for the Mickey McCann-managed winners before a superb solo goal from Mark Treanor in the 12th minute brought Monaghan back into it.

But Donegal went on to lead by 2-12 to 1-3 at the break and wrapped up the win with second half majors from Flynn and sub Caolan McDermott.

Meanwhile, Louth have retained their Rackard Cup status after beating Leitrim 2-22 to 2-10 in their relegation playoff at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar.
