St Eunan’s reclaimed the Donegal senior football championship title with a dramatic 1-16 to 1-15 victory over holders Naomh Conaill thanks to Ciaran Moore’s last-gasp winner at MacCumhaill Park.
The Letterkenny side led 0-9 to 0-7 at half-time, with Eoin Dowling, Conor O’Donnell Jnr and Moore among their key scorers during the opening half-hour in Ballybofey.
Naomh Conaill fought back after the restart, with Ethan O’Donnell netting before Shea Malone’s two-pointer put the Glenties outfit in front.
James Kelly’s goal restored St Eunan’s advantage, but scores from Max Campbell, Malone and John O’Malley ensured a tense finish.
Substitute Charles McGuinness looked to have sealed victory for the holders in added time, only for Niall O’Donnell to level before Moore struck the decisive score with the final kick.
