The referees for this Bank Holiday weekend’s Connacht and Munster senior football championship finals have been confirmed.

Roscommon’s Paddy Neilan will take the whistle for the Connacht decider between Mayo and Galway at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar om Sunday afternoon, with throw-in for the game scheduled at 4pm.

Down south, holders Kerry meet Clare in the Munster final at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney earlier in the day (throw-in 1.45pm) and Cavan man Noel Mooney will be the man in the middle for that one.

Both games are ‘winner on the day’, so extra time and penalties will be played if necessary.
