Ni Fianna (Dublin) are All-Ireland club senior hurling champions for the first time in their history after an emphatic 2-23 to 0-20 victory over Sarsfields (Cork) at Croke Park this afternoon.
Tom Brennan grabbed a goal in each half for the Leinster champions, with the second coming after some sublime stick work from Ciaran Stacey to send him through and all but wrap up this decider with 17 minutes remaining.
The Glasnevin side had built up a 0-10 to 0-3 lead by the time Brennan, who was a late call up to the starting line-up, smashed in their first goal on the 20-minute mark at headquarters.

The first Cork side to line-out in an All-Ireland club SHC final in 18 years, Sarsfields got points back from Aaron Myers (three frees) and Jack O’Connor but still went in at the break trailing by a dozen (1-16 to 0-7).
Myers nailed a couple more frees for the Munster champions early in the restart, but the frees of Colin Currie at the other end served to further cushion Na Fianna’s lead.
The 43rd minute would see Niall Ó Ceallacháin’s men hit the jackpot again after some brilliant skill from Stacey set-up Brennan to lash in his second goal of the day.
Sars responded with more Myers frees, a couple of O’Connor points and a Daniel Kearney ‘65’, but there’d be no closing the gap as AJ Murphy, Brian Ryan and Jack Meagher sailed over the scores to seal the historic Tommy Moore Cup success for the capital men.
