Galway and Armagh are set to get the 2025 Allianz Football League underway with a repeat of this year’s All-Ireland final.

The mouth-watering tie has been provisionally set for the evening of Saturday, January 25 and will be the first game to be played under the new Pearse Stadium floodlights which are currently being installed. Galway will also be at home to Tipperary in the opening round of the Allianz Hurling League the following day.

Another big football fixture which has been pencilled in for the Saturday evening is the meeting of Dublin and Mayo at Croke Park. The other two Division 1 Round 1 ties – Tyrone v Derry and Donegal v Kerry – will be played the following day at O’Neills Healy Park and Fitzgerald Stadium respectively.

The provisional fixtures were released this week to county boards who have until this day week, Thursday, November 14, to submit any requests for change.
