Na Fianna are back-to-back Dublin senior hurling champions after overcoming Kilmacud Crokes by 3-16 to 2-18 in a thrilling final at Parnell Park tonight.

Ciaran Stacey proved to be the hero for the Glasnevin men as his goal in the third minute of injury-time denied Crokes in heartbreaking fashion and sealed his club’s second ever SHC success.

Kilmacud had been the more dominant side in the first-half, running up a 1-13 to 0-8 lead after David Purcell’s goal in the 14th minute, but the holders got a Conor McHugh goal before half-time which helped trim their deficit down to five points when the sides went in.

Donal Burke would reduce those arrears even further by converting a 36th minute penalty and the teams would be all square six minutes later.

A goal from Oisin O’Rorke at the other end looked to try and kill Na Fianna’s momentum, but they’d stay in the fight and win another penalty in the dying stages which Jonno Tracey would see parried before Stacey poked in at the back post for the dramatic victory.
