Donegal manager Jim McGuinness has named his side for tomorrow afternoon’s All-Ireland senior football championship opener against Kerry at Fitzgerald Stadium (3pm).

Having missed the Tir Chonaill men’s shock Ulster SFC quarter-final defeat to Down last month through injury, joint-captain Michael Lanagan is named on the bench for the clash with the All-Ireland champions this weekend.

The St Michael’s midfielder’s return will be a welcome boost to McGuinness’s side, as will experienced attacker Jamie Brennan who is also named on the bench after missing the defeat to the Mourne men in Letterkenny.

Caolan McGonagle and Hugh McFadden are named to start at centre-field, with Shane O’Donnell on ‘the 40’ and Michael Murphy at full-forward where he’s set to be flanked by Conor O’Donnell and Shea Malone.
